This page details the recommended hardware and software for using Te Puna Subscriber Services. Other browser versions may be usable, however these have not been tested.

Search, Interloan and WebCat users should also check that their browser settings match those recommended by Digital Solutions.

Application or software made available by the National Library

Minimum hardware, software and network connections to be supplied by user libraries.
Search only

Web interface
  • PC or other workstation with screen resolution of 800x600
  • Windows 98, NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5), or Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack 1)
  • Web browser:* Internet Explorer 5 or 5.5, or Netscape Communicator 4.7
  • Internet connection to National Library using TCP/IP protocol.

*Javascript & cookies need to be enabled

Cataloguing Client (2001.2)

Windows Cataloguing Client
  • PC Pentium III 450 CPU workstation, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb hard drive, display with video mode of 800x600 or higher, 17 Mb of storage for cataloguing client only
  • Windows 98, NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5), or Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack 1)
  • Cataloguing Client software installed and maintained on the work station
  • Internet connection to National Library using TCP/IP protocol.
(Voyager with Unicode) Windows Cataloguing Client
  • PC Pentium III 450 CPU workstation, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb hard drive, display with video mode of 800x600 or higher, 17 Mb of storage for cataloguing client only
  • Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack 3), Windows XP (Service Pack 1 & 2). N.B. Windows 95, 98, and NT are NOT SUPPORTED
  • Cataloguing Client software installed and maintained on the work station
  • Internet connection to National Library using TCP/IP protocol
